echo/warp pedal

another pedal i recently completed:

echo pedal

yet another pt2399-based delay, built for my friend hector: https://hhhhhh.bandcamp.com

it’s got your standard controls for delay time, repeat intensity, dry/wet mix, and also separate controls for modulation on the delay time. the warp footswitch is a momentary SPST toggle that cranks the repeats up to infinity when pressed.

analog chorus

here’s a pedal i recently completed:

chorus pedal

it’s an analog chorus based on the MN3007 bucket brigade device. has switches to kill the dry signal completely and flip between 2 different intensity settings. the LED pulses in sync with the rate knob too. built on stripboard, took a few tries to get it working right. i initially ordered the IC on ebay but it seems counterfeit chips (or just rebadged MN3207s, which expect a different voltage) are pretty common on there. wound up ordering replacement chips via small bear (http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/ic-mn3007/) which were legit and worked the first try.

finished 2xdelay/reverb

actually finished this a while back but never got around to posting it. first time messing around with posca pens! will post an action vid later but the delay2 and speed knobs have LEDs embedded inside (d2 lights up when the warp button is pressed down, and the speed LED blinks in time with the modulation LFO rate). i used these clear plastic 9mm potentiometers which have a hollow shaft to fit an LED: http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/alpha-clear-shaft-pots-w-bushing/

overdrive pedal

i built a new OD pedal based on the lovepedal les luis/madbean lavache circuit. this one was built entirely on veroboard. i used the schematic available here: http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2013/01/madbean-lavache.html

initially i had some issues fitting everything properly into the metal enclosure - the bottom panel kept making contact with the circuit and shorting it out (and shooting sparks - nice). fixed it by jamming some cardboard in there to space stuff out.

first test - dual delay + reverb pedal

it’s still an unfinished work in progress, but i wanted to test it out and see how it sounded. the delay is based on the 1776 multiplex circuit. the reverb section uses an accutronics btdr-3h mini reverb tank.
